Munterconnaught GFC are based in Munterconnaught on the outskirts of Virginia, Co Cavan.

New Facilities - New sporting facilities have been developed. The new facilities are open to all members and include a Running/Walking track with lighting, Covered spectator stand, Gym, Handball/Racquetball Court, new Ladies Changing Rooms, Referees Room & Treatment Room. UNDERAGE & LADIES REGISTRATION Registration is taking place this Friday evening, Jan 27th from 7 pm to 8 pm. 1 Child = €30, 2 Children = €50, 3 or more Children = €60 All players must be registered in order to play. FOOTBALL FORUM A Forum will take place in the Clubrooms (Date and Time to be confirmed) regarding all aspects of football in the Club. An open discussion will take place including Underage, Senior, amalgamations, 2012 plan and the road forward. Everybody is encouraged to attend and ideas/contributions are appreciated. TOMMY FLEMING CONCERT Munterconnaught GFC (Ryefield, Virginia) presents Tommy Fleming in Concert. Venue – St. Bridgets Church, Oldcastle on Friday March 2nd at 8 pm. Tickets are €30 and can be purchased from: Ryefield Stores, Munterconnaught GFC Club Committee Members (Noel McEnroe - 087 2785903, David Hughes - 086 6049783) Oldcastle Dry Cleaners Oldcastle Credit Union Riverfront Hotel, Virginia Cronin's, Ballyjamesduff Ticketmaster outlets SENIOR SCŌR Anyone interesting in representing club should contact Caroline Gilsenan (086-2388757). 1st round takes place in Drumavaddy on Friday, Feb 10th NEW SECURITY SYSTEM A new security system in the clubrooms is installed and activated. Fobs are used to gain access. Paid up members can get a Fob for €10 (€5 of which is a refundable deposit). There is1 Fob available per family and are available from Noel McEnroe or David Hughes. Note - there is a Fob available in the shop to access the Handball Alley only. A  €5 deposit is required which is refundable on return of the Fob. HANDBALL/RACQUETBALL Coaching sessions for all ages every Friday from 6 to 7:30 pm - starting again on Friday, Jan 20th. We are looking for help - anyone interested in getting involved in the coaching side should contact Pat Taylor.  Court bookings can be reserved by contacting Owen Brodie. For insurance purposes, everybody using the track and clu broom facilities need to be at least a Social Member of the Club. SPORTS FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT Anyone wishing to pay Membership or join the 5 year Funding Plan can do so at this time or by contacting Noel McEnroe, David Hughes or any member of  the Sports Development Committee.   GYM For insurance purposes, everybody using the Gym facilities need to be a paid up member of the Gym and must complete and sign the Gym Disclaimer form. These are available in the clubrooms and from any member of the Sports Development Committee.. Also, can everyone who collected the Gym Usage Questionaire complete it and leave it back asap with Noel McEnroe (087- 2785903), David Hughes (086-6049783) or into the shop.
