Munterconnaught GFC are based in Ryefield, Munterconnaught which is on the outskirts of Virginia, Co Cavan.

NEW FACILITIES - New sports facilities have been developed and were officially opened on Friday, 12th August 2011. The new facilities are open to all paid up members only and include a Running/Walking Track with lighting, Covered Spectator Stand, Gym, Handball/Racquetball Court, Ladies Changing Rooms, Referees Room and Treatment Room. The Club has secured a funding allocation of €29,000 from the 2012 Sports Capital Funding programme and this will allow the Club to prioritise the completion of the pitch drainage improvements and convert the grounds behind the Handball Court into a playing/training pitch. MUNTERCONNAUGHT GFC BREFFNI COUNTY CLUB ALL STARS 2013

The Club launched the Breffni County All Stars 2013 on Friday, March 1st in the Hotel Kilmore.
It started in Round 3 of the County League (all 4 Divisions) and continues through to the end of the Championship (Senior, Intermediate & Junior).
The Judging panel select players based on performance throughout the year.
The Judging panel are from Geographical and Club ACFL/Championship status.
The Judging panel will adjust the player panel on a weekly/monthly basis.
There are monthly updates in the Anglo Celt, our Media partner and on the CLub site.
There is a Team of the Month - this started in March. It will be announced on the 1st Friday of the following month at a different venue each month which will be confirmed beforehand.
There will be a Referee of the Month - this started in April.
The  team of the month for April was announced at the County Board Open Night on the 3G pitch in Breffni Park last Friday evening, May 10^th.

We had a very successful and enjoyable series of events, all of which were very well attended. Subscribers who have not renewed their subscriptions will not be eligible for the Lotto Draws. Contact the Club Treasurer (Paddy Shortt at 086-2017669) GUM SHIELDS/MOUTHGUARDS All Underage players must wear gum sheilds/mouthguards at all training sessions and during matches. No player will be allowed to train or play without a mouthguard. This directive will apply to adult players from Jan 1st 2014. All parents are asked to ensure underage players have and bring a mouthguard to training sessions and matches. 2013 MEMBERSHIP FEES The 2013 membership fees are due. €20 for social membership, €25 for full membership - both include use of the Running Track. Contact the Club Treasurer (Paddy Shortt at 086-2017669) for more information. JUVENILE MEMBERSHIIP The 2013 membership fees are €25 for the 1st child, €15 for the 2nd child & €10 for the 3rd child. A maximum of €50 per family. Note - every child must be registered with the County Board to be eligible to play. PHOTOGRAPHS The Club is building up a gallery of photographs of players, teams, mentors, etc. from the past and present that will be displayed in the Meeting Room. Semi Final Results: Jim Gilsenan defeated Martin Cadden & Vincent Mulvey defeated John McCabe - congratulations to Jim & Vincent. No Date & TIme comfirmed yet for the Final. Friday evening coaching sessions continue from 6 pm to 7 pm - contact Pat Taylor (087-9478458). SECURITY SYSTEM There is asecurity system in place in the Clubrooms. Fob are used to gain access. Members can get a Fob for €10 (€5 of which is a refundable deposit). Contact Tommy Keogan or Noel McEnroe.   WALKING/RUNNING TRACK There is lighting in operation around the track. The use of the track is strictly for use by Club members only. Anybody using the track must be at least a paid up Social Member. SPORTS FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT Anyone wishing to pay or join the 5 Year Funding Plan can do so by contacting Seanus O'Shea, Jimmy Healy, Noel McEnroe, David Hughes or any member of the Sports Development Committee. GYM For Insurance purposes, everybody using the Gym facilities must be a paid up member of the Gym and must complete and sign the Gym Disclaimer form which is available in the Clubrooms or from any member of the Sports Development Committee.
